Shop PTOs By Transmission
PTOs for Eaton Transmissions can be broken down into a few categories:
1. 8 Bolt mounts – these are most common on all newer style transmissions.

Occasionally a deep mount housing is necessary like with Eaton/Cummins Endurant PTOs this will be noted as the series number + 10. Ie. 2000 series becomes 2010 Series
2. Rear mounts – Eaton/Cummins Endurant transmissions have the ability to add a PTO to the rear of the transmission. These are useful for drive shaft driven operations and or clearance-related situations.

HD transmissions, this is an option from the factory. To determine if your transmission was built with this option, please contact us. If the transmission was not built with this option, there is no way to add a rear-mounted PTO.

XD and XD pro transmissions, all come equipped with the option to add a rear-mounted PTO standard.
3. 6 Bolt Mounts – commonly found on older style transmission or as side-mounted PTOs.
Eaton Transmission
Allison Transmissions
PTOs for Allison Transmissions can be broken down into two categories:
1. 10 Bolt Mounts – these are most common on all newer style transmissions and will use the 3252 Series PTO.

Clearance-related situations arise often with Allison transmissions. Sometimes it can be helpful to relocate the output of the PTO to the rear of the transmission. This can be achieved by using a 3131 Series PTO with the output designation of RP (rear pump). An adapter will be needed to mount a pump. Please see the product page for more details.
2. 6 Bolt Mounts – commonly found on older style transmission.
Volvo/Mack Transmissions
PTOs for Volvo/Mack Transmissions can be broken down into two categories:
1. Rear Mounts – these are the most common on all newer style transmissions.

1198k – Standard duty

11106k – Heavy Duty

11107k – Three outputs, two face the rear of the truck. The last one faces the front. (output 1 CW, Output 2 CCW, Output 3 CW)
2. 6 and 8 Bolt Mounts – commonly found on older style transmission.
Detroit Transmissions
PTOs for Detroit Transmissions can be broken down into two categories:
1. Rear Mount – This is the most common style PTO for the DT12 Transmission. A connecting shaft is required to install the PTO. This shaft is called a Quill Shaft, it is sold separately. Please see the chart on the product page to choose the correct quill shaft.
2. 8 Bolt Mounts – A newer style PTO for this transmission. With the addition of adapter PTAD812 we can mount a standard 8 bolt PTO to the bottom of the DT12. Please see the chart on the product page to choose the correct adapter.
